The topic Nvidia’s five-year-old RTX 3060 is reportedly back, and it costs almost exactly… is currently the subject of lively discussion — readers and analysts are keeping a close eye on developments.

This is taking place in a dynamic environment: companies’ decisions and competitors’ reactions can quickly change the picture.
The booming AI market has been amazing for innovation, but not so great for consumer electronics. All you need to do is Google how much a premade PC cost around this time last year versus today, and you can feel your bank account scream out in terror. Well, it seems that Nvidia is giving gamers struggling to secure a new RTX 50 GPU a hand, as it has reportedly begun releasing new RTX 3060s for people to buy. And the strange thing is, they’re almost identically priced as they were when they first released.
The good folk over at Tom’s Hardware noticed something strange happening over on Newegg. Seemingly out of nowhere, the online store is now selling GeForce RTX 3060 12GB GDDR6 Windforce GPUs, which have come back in stock. Interestingly, the Nvidia page for the GPU now lists it as a ‘Rev. 2.0’ model, which implies that Nvidia has tweaked it a bit before re-releasing it.
Perhaps the most amazing part of all is that Newegg is listing the GPU for $339.99, which is just $10 more than what it cost when it was first released. Of course, as Tom’s Hardware notes, buying a GTX 3060 isn’t ideal, as you’ll miss out on DLSS 4.5 and Frame Generation; however, if you need a mighty GPU for your gaming PC and you’re struggling to secure an RTX 50 series card, this one should make for a nice alternative.
